We offer personalized, one-on-one boarding, daycare and gundog training in the Chattanooga area. Dogs stay in our home as part of the family, alongside with my own dogs. We accept only one dog at a time (unless “sibling” dogs from the same household). We walk, play, and train one-on-one, using positive reinforcement (R+) methods.

Since we have no kennel facility, we require a free “meet and greet” (M&G) of all dogs either at my home or at a neutral location prior to booking. Prospective client dogs should be well-socialized, vaccinated, and not aggressive (we do NOT currently offer training for dogs with behavioral issues).  

Owner Gretchen has a degree in Animal Biology and a background in the zoo, pet health, and animal agriculture industries. She enjoys applying R+ training concepts to dog training, and trains her own and friends’ dogs for waterfowl and upland hunting as well as bloodtracking. After dogsitting through sites like Rover.com and DogVacay.com for nearly a decade, she has decided to expand her à la carte dog sitting and training services as a single entity – and Zenaida Dogs was born. Gretchen shows and competes with dogs in various sports and venues and is trained in pet first aid and CPR.
