I’m a Georgia native living in downtown Chattanooga, TN with my husband, Chris, and our cat, Winnie. I got married in 2020, so I’m still getting used to my new last name and currently still using my maiden name “Kelley” for all my design work. I’ve been a graphic designer for the past 8 years, and I’m not gonna lie — it just now feels like I’m really stepping into my element as a designer. 10,000 hours, right? 

I work at an internal marketing company called Chattanooga Workshop. Some of my favorite projects are working on beer labels and taking weekly photos at Chattanooga Brewing, P.S. — You can check out some of my photography here. 

I still find time to take on freelance clients, and find myself doing some of my favorite work these days — branding. I fluctuate on preferred projects, but I gotta say branding and logo design is almost always top of the list for me.

When I’m not designing or trying to figure out how to craft an about me section, I might be paddle boarding or trying out a new hobby like candle making or cooking. It’s easy for me to get lost in new projects, and anything that lets me work with my hands counts as easy work for me, even if it takes hours on hours to finish.

I see myself being a designer for a long time, but I also see myself being a great many things. I love to write, and I love to take photos, and I love to travel and explore. I’m open to and appreciate the many opportunities that I’ll experience. This life is too short to just be a designer or a photographer or whatever else you might love. When I look back on life, I want to know that I said yes to everything I wanted to do, and at least tried the things I wasn’t so sure about.
